Lindsey Athanasiou - Achievement Obsession, Burnout & Unlocking The Golden Handcuffs

This week's guest, Lindsey Athanasiou, is the founder of the wellness company Mind Might Macros and is on a mission to help those who want to feel better.
A former vice president in a tech startup, Lindsey had all the outward trappings of success, including the six-figure salary, Mercedes Benz in the driveway, you know, all the things that we're told that we should strive for, and we should want. As a self-confessed achievement, obsessive Lindsey had made it. But with the success came burnout, unhappiness, and the realisation that the life that she had chosen wasn't in alignment with her values.
So what she do? she leaned into her yoga practice, a practice that had always been there since she turned to it following an acute sciatica diagnosis in her early 20s. The mat became a haven, but also a place that forced her to ask herself difficult questions. And these questions eventually led her to the realisation that the golden handcuffs that were keeping her tied to her current life could be unlocked, and the world wouldn't end.
There are many parallels between Lindsey's story and mine. And I'm sure you'll find parallels with yours. Whatever you do and whatever industry you're in.
